Sustainability is Sexy: Stay at Our Eco-Friendly Retreat in Cowlitz County

Welcome to our eco-conscious retreat! If you’re looking for accommodations that celebrate Earth Day EVERY day, you’ve found them. We're very proud to be doing our part to reduce our impact on the environment, and we know you'll love staying with us.

In short, we're committed to sustainability in every aspect of our operations. For starters, we've invested in solar panels to power our property, which means that your stay here will have a minimal carbon footprint. And during the Summer months we produce more energy than we use!  If you drive an electric vehicle, we've also got you covered with our convenient and easy to use EV charger.

But that's just the beginning. We've also made a conscious effort to reduce our waste and minimize our use of single-use products. That's why we use bulk, plant friendly, biodegradable products for our cleansing supplies, and we encourage our guests to use non-paper products like washcloths and kitchen towels. Our laundry products are all natural and dye-free, so we also don't have to worry about harmful chemicals going down the drain.

One of the ways we reduce water use is by utilizing dry flush toilets in the tiny homes and camper’s bathrooms. These innovative toilets require no water, which means we're saving a precious resource with every use. And, don’t forget to help us amend our soil by using our composting bin and placing your kitchen scraps under the sink in the cottage!

Last but not least, we recycle paper and glass to ensure that we're doing our part to keep waste out of the landfill. Our local municipal does not process recycled plastics yet, but hopefully they will again soon!
